Greener and safer structures

Intelligent monitoring must prevent waste of resources and accidents

The CorroSense Grand Solutions project is an ambitious initiative that seeks to address the rising costs associated with the maintenance and repair of critical infrastructure such as the Great Belt Bridge and the Limfjord Tunnel. The increasing pressure on these infrastructures requires innovative solutions to ensure their durability and functionality over time. This effort is essential to address both economic and environmental concerns, as there is a strong focus on reducing CO₂ emissions and at the same time optimizing resource consumption. The project's technology aims to reduce costs and CO₂ emissions by improving measurements and maintenance through intelligent data management.

A particular advantage of the CorroSense technology is the possibility of harvesting energy from the surroundings, which will make the system self-sufficient and reduce the need for manual inspection, which is traditionally both time-consuming and expensive.

Partnerships for Future Security

The project is based on a strong coalition of technical experts, academic institutions and public authorities working together towards transforming traditional maintenance methods. The cooperation between different parties ensures a multidisciplinary approach, which is vital for developing and implementing the necessary technological solutions. By bringing these forces together, CorroSense stands strong in the pursuit of creating more durable and economically sustainable infrastructure solutions that can have a significant impact on future infrastructure management.

Global Relevance and Innovation

The CorroSense project is not only of local or national significance, but also addresses a global demand for more efficient ways to monitor and maintain critical infrastructure. With the introduction of wireless sensors capable of supplying themselves with energy, new opportunities are opening up to monitor complex constructions such as bridges and tunnels in a more cost-effective and less resource-intensive way. This not only contributes to improving the safety and longevity of these structures, but also promotes a more sustainable approach to managing infrastructure on a global scale.
